Minecraft Finally Lets Players Sit After 17 Years!

3 min read

One of Minecraft’s longest-running requests is finally becoming a reality.

After 17 years, Mojang has announced an official way for players to sit, thanks to a new item called cushions, arriving in an upcoming game update.

Until now, players wanting to sit had to rely on creative tricks using minecarts, boats or community-made mods. The new cushions can be placed on almost any flat surface, allowing players to simply take a seat.

The update includes more than just sitting. Players can also look forward to new decorative blocks, including wool stairs and slabs, straw beds, abandoned camps and the new Dappled Forest biome, offering even more possibilities for builders and explorers.

While sitting may seem like a small addition, it’s a feature the Minecraft community has requested for years, making this one of the update’s most talked-about changes.

Will you be trying the new update?
