Maltese singer Anthea Gatt is back with new music, releasing her latest single so sick across major streaming platforms.

The track marks Gatt’s first solo release since 2024 and centres on that familiar moment when patience finally runs out and giving someone another chance is no longer an option.

Explaining the inspiration behind the song, Gatt said it came from reaching a stage where she was tired of letting things slide and repeatedly giving people chances they did not deserve.

The result is a song about recognising your limit and deciding when enough really is enough.

A new chapter after ok ok ok

so sick follows Gatt’s 2024 solo single ok ok ok, an R&B-influenced track co-written with Matthew “Muxu” Mercieca and produced by InSynkAudio.

That earlier release explored emotions, self-reflection and mentally breaking free, while continuing Gatt’s development as a solo Maltese artist. Contemporary coverage at the time confirmed that ok ok ok was released across major streaming platforms.

The new release is accompanied by distinctive artwork and visuals carrying a playful, vintage-inspired aesthetic, giving so sick its own visual identity alongside its message.

Back with solo music

Gatt is also familiar to Maltese audiences through her appearance on X Factor Malta, where she had the opportunity to showcase her vocals to a nationwide audience.

Her return with so sick now brings the focus back to her original music after a two-year gap between solo releases.

With its theme of finally drawing a line after giving too many chances, the track introduces another chapter in Gatt’s sound and songwriting.

so sick is available to stream now across major music platforms.
