The Malta Police Force has shared a heartwarming community moment after welcoming Leon, a student from De La Salle College, for a morning with its Community Officers.
According to the Police Force, the visit was requested by Leon’s Learning Support Educator and was gladly accepted by officers.
During the visit, Leon had the opportunity to learn more about police work, view police vehicles, and join officers for a short patrol around Cottonera.
Photos shared with the post show Leon meeting officers, sitting inside a police vehicle, and taking part in the morning visit alongside members of the force.
The Malta Police Force said initiatives like this help strengthen the bond between the police and the community, while giving young people a closer look at the work carried out by officers every day.
Community policing forms part of the Police Force’s wider mission to provide a professional and trusted service in partnership with the public. The Force also operates local Community Policing Teams across different areas, including the Birgu, Bormla, Isla and Kalkara district.
The visit offered a positive example of community engagement and gave Leon a memorable opportunity to experience police work up close.
