Maltese Singer Wins Grand Prix At Balkan Fest 2026 In Bosnia

A Maltese singer has proudly represented Malta on the international stage after winning the Grand Prix at Balkan Fest 2026 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In a post shared on Instagram, Kaya said she was honoured to win the award and proud to represent Malta with her performance of “Nistaqsi”.

The song, originally performed by Jasmine Abela, was the winning song from Mużika Mużika, with lyrics by Philip Vella and music by Glen Vella.

Kaya thanked her vocal coach Gillian Attard, voice technique teacher Causeced Said, and international delegate Evelina Batey for their support throughout the journey.

She also thanked everyone who continues to believe in her and support her musical career.
