The Association for Abandoned Animals has thanked six new soldier recruits from the Armed Forces of Malta, along with their leader, for helping with maintenance work at the AAA Sanctuary.
The group spent three days working in the sanctuary’s isolation area, a space that plays an important role in the daily care of the dogs at the sanctuary.
AAA said that keeping the sanctuary in good shape is an ongoing challenge, especially due to the number of dogs cared for every day and the constant cleaning needed to maintain the premises.
According to the association, the young recruits helped completely transform the isolation area through their work over the three days.
The sanctuary shared a warm thank you message, saying: “Thank you, guys—you are amazing!”
Their effort is another reminder of how much community support means to animal welfare organisations, where daily work often depends on volunteers, helpers, and people willing to give their time.
