Apple has officially set the date for its next major product event, with the company inviting viewers to tune in on Wednesday, 9 September.

The event will begin at 10am Pacific Time, which is 7pm in Malta, and will be streamed online. Apple is promoting the event with the tagline “Surprise and shine.”

What could Apple announce?

Apple has not confirmed which products will be unveiled, but reports point towards the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max forming part of the new line-up.

The biggest potential announcement, however, is Apple’s long-rumoured first foldable iPhone. Reports suggest the foldable device could be unveiled at the September event, marking Apple’s entry into a category where rivals have already been competing for several years.

Reports also suggest Apple could take a different approach to its iPhone release schedule this year. The standard iPhone 18 is not expected at the September event, with more affordable models reportedly being held back until 2027.

New Apple Watches could also make an appearance

The event is also expected to feature Apple’s next generation of smartwatches, including the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. Other hardware announcements remain possible, although Apple has yet to reveal the full line-up.

With the prospect of Apple’s first foldable iPhone alongside its latest Pro models, the September event could prove to be one of the company’s most significant hardware launches in recent years.

For viewers in Malta, the event gets under way at 7pm on Wednesday, 9 September.
