Thirteen-year-old Maltese singer Keira Sciberras has achieved a proud result for Malta after winning 1st Place at the 31st Festival FeNS 2026 in Koper, Slovenia.
The official Festival FeNS website lists the 31st edition as taking place in Koper, Slovenia, from 26 to 29 June 2026, while Visit Koper lists the 2026 international FeNS festival between 26 and 28 June 2026.
According to details sent to Mela Bonġu, Keira competed among around 80 young performers from several countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Russia, Latvia, Romania, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Malta.
Her team praised her performance for its strong vocals, emotion, and stage presence, saying she impressed both the international jury and the audience.
Keira also expressed gratitude towards her vocal coaches, Dario Mifsud Bonnici and Tina Gatt Frendo, as well as Evelina Batey for her guidance, support, and help in making the international opportunity possible.
Festival FeNS describes itself as a major international music festival for young performers in Slovenia, with participants competing in different age categories.
For Keira, this win is a personal achievement, but it is also another encouraging moment for young Maltese talent performing on an international stage.
