5. Start The Day With A Beach Dip
Not every weekend plan needs tickets or a timetable.
With the heat expected to stay strong, an early morning swim could be one of the best ways to enjoy the weekend without exhausting yourself. Go early, choose a beach or swimming spot you know well, take plenty of water, and avoid staying in the sun too long.
A sunrise or early swim also gives you the rest of the day free before the heavier heat kicks in.
6. Make It A Gozo Day
For a small change of scene, Gozo is always a good weekend idea.
This Sunday, Għarb celebrates the Visitation of Our Lady, according to the Church.mt festa calendar. That makes it a nice option for anyone heading to Gozo and wanting to add a village feast stop to the day.
Keep it simple: a swim, a slow lunch, a quiet village walk, and maybe the festa atmosphere in the evening.
7. Valletta Local Food Festival
For food lovers, the Valletta Local Food Festival is taking place at St George’s Square, Valletta.
Now in its fifth edition, the festival celebrates Malta’s culinary heritage with local produce, traditional flavours, chefs, food artisans and producers offering items such as cheeses, chutneys, pastries, sweets, delicatessen products and beverages.
It’s a good option if you want an easy evening plan in the heart of Valletta, with food, local culture and a relaxed summer atmosphere.
