A group of young Maltese dancers had a memorable international experience after performing at Disneyland Paris on 3 July 2026.
The dancers, from Nicky’s Dance Studios based at De La Salle, represented Malta with pride in one of Europe’s most magical entertainment settings.
Around 37 young performers took part in the event, presenting a total of six dance pieces. Their programme included a mix of styles, from jazz and classical ballet to hip-hop/commercial dance and contemporary.
The group performed under the direction of Ms Nicky, Nicola Fenech. The creative guidance and choreography were also led by Ms Nicole Chetcuti, Mr Francesco Nicodeme, and Ms Nicola Micallef.
For the dancers, this was not only a chance to perform abroad, but also an opportunity to show the hard work that goes into their training. Behind every performance are many hours of practice, commitment, and discipline.
What makes the achievement even more special is that many of these young dancers continue to train while also keeping up with school, exams, homework, and everyday student life.
Their performance at Disneyland Paris was a proud moment for Nicky’s Dance Studios and a lovely reminder of the talent and dedication found among Malta’s young performers.
Well done to all the dancers, teachers, and everyone involved in making this experience possible.
