Maltese motorcycle racer Travis Borg Stringi has continued his impressive run with another strong weekend at Circuito de Jerez in Spain.
The 16-year-old rider finished P4 in Race 1 and followed it up with a P3 podium finish in Race 2.
Sharing the update after the races, Travis said he is now P3 in the championship, tied on points for the championship lead.
“Consistency is paying off,” he wrote, adding that it had been a huge thank you to the team for their hard work and to everyone supporting him.
The result keeps Travis firmly in the championship conversation as he continues to build on what has already been a standout season.
Before the Jerez round, the official MotoJunior preview described Travis as looking strong following recent podium finishes, while local reports had already placed him third in the championship standings heading into the weekend.
His season has also included major milestones for Maltese motorsport, including a historic second-place finish earlier in the Moto3 Junior World Championship. Times of Malta reported that the result marked the first time a Maltese rider stepped onto the podium in a high-level international motorcycle racing category.
With another podium now added in Jerez, Travis continues to show consistency, pace, and maturity on the international stage.
For Maltese motorsport fans, it is another encouraging result from one of the country’s brightest young racing talents.
