3 min read

Maltese boxer Delson Grech has claimed a strong win in Marsala, Sicily, after competing against a local opponent in the weight class above him.

Delson controlled the fight and secured victory after the referee stopped the contest in the third round. In boxing, this result is known as an RSC, meaning the referee stopped the contest.

The win also marked an important milestone for Delson, as it was his 10th fight in his boxing career.

Delson travelled to Sicily with Good Vibes Boxing, with several of his teammates also competing on the night.

The club’s results included an exhibition bout, wins, a draw, and losses across the team, making it a full evening of experience for the boxers involved.

For Delson, winning abroad against a home fighter and stepping up against someone in the weight class above him made the result even more meaningful.

It is another proud step in his boxing journey and another example of Maltese fighters gaining valuable experience outside Malta.

Well done Delson, and well done to the Good Vibes Boxing.
