The Malta Police Force has officially welcomed 18 new Police Inspectors and 27 new Police Patrol & Community Support Officers (PPCSOs) during a ceremony held at the Police General Headquarters.
The appointments mark another step in strengthening the Force’s presence within local communities and enhancing its policing capabilities.
During the ceremony, Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà congratulated the newly appointed officers, describing the milestone as an important step in their policing careers. He encouraged them to place people at the centre of their work, supporting victims of crime, families, businesses and local communities with professionalism, empathy and dedication.
Commissioner Gafà also highlighted the role of the PPCSOs, explaining that their introduction forms part of a broader strategy aimed at creating safer communities through intelligence-led policing, greater visibility and proactive measures based on people’s needs.
The new appointments continue the Malta Police Force’s efforts to strengthen community policing while investing in the development of its officers.
