The Malta Police Force has marked its 212th anniversary, celebrating more than two centuries of service to the country.
A commemorative ceremony was held at Police General Headquarters, beginning with a Holy Mass and followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Police Monument in honour of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
In a message marking the occasion, the Force paid tribute to the dedication, commitment and professionalism of the women and men who serve Malta every day, while remembering colleagues who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Founded in 1814, the Malta Police Force remains one of the country’s longest-standing public institutions, continuing its mission of protecting the community and upholding public safety.
