Students in Malta enjoy around 13 weeks of summer holidays, making the country one of those with the longest school summer breaks in Europe.

The figures are based on the 2025/26 school calendar data published by Eurydice, the European Commission’s information network on education systems across Europe.

While the exact duration can vary slightly depending on the education level and school system, Malta’s summer holidays remain longer than those in most European countries.

The extended break gives students several weeks away from the classroom before returning for the new scholastic year in September.
