Maltese karting driver Zane Pace ended the WSK Euro Series with a memorable result, winning the Mini Gr.3 final at Cremona on Sunday.
The win came from a competitive 45-driver international field and helped Pace move up from seventh to third overall in the final championship standings.
It was also his first victory in a WSK Euro Series final, making the weekend an important step in his growing international karting career.
Pace arrived at the third and final round of the 2026 WSK Euro Series sitting seventh in the standings on 71 points. With the top five still within reach, the Cremona weekend carried plenty of importance.
He started strongly in qualifying, finishing second in his group and third fastest overall in the Mini Gr.3 entry. That put him in a good position for the heats.
Across the heats, Pace kept himself near the front. He finished second in the first heat, won the second, and took another second place in the third. A second-place finish in the prefinal then placed him on the front row for Sunday’s final.
In the final, Pace made the most of the opportunity. He crossed the line first to win Round 3 of the WSK Euro Series, a result that lifted him to third overall in the Mini Gr.3 championship.
The podium moment was a special one, with the Maltese flag on his suit and the national anthem playing for the winner.
Pace described the victory as a moment he will never forget, saying that making history as the first Maltese driver to win a race at this level of international karting was a proud moment for him and for Malta.
The Cremona win adds to what has already been a strong season for Pace. Earlier in the year, he won the WSK Super Master Series championship in Mini Gr.3 and continued to show strong form in the Italian ACI Karting Championship.
He also thanked the team and people around him, including Tony Kart Racing Team, Vortex Engines, his sponsors, family, supporters, and everyone who has believed in him.
