The Armed Forces of Malta represented the country during Bastille Day celebrations in Paris, France, joining military representatives from a number of other nations for France’s National Day.

During the ceremonial events, an Armed Forces of Malta Flag Party carried the Maltese National Flag, taking part in one of France’s most important national occasions.

The AFM said the contingent represented Malta with professionalism, discipline and ceremonial precision, reflecting the values associated with the country’s armed forces.

Also present for the celebrations was the Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta, Brigadier Clinton J. O’Neill. He attended the event together with representatives from other participating military delegations.

Malta’s participation in the celebrations also highlights the ongoing relationship between Malta and France, with the AFM noting that such events help strengthen respect, friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries.

Bastille Day, marked each year on 14 July, is France’s National Day and is traditionally commemorated with major national celebrations, including military ceremonies in Paris.
