Team Malta has celebrated a strong moment in the pool, after four Maltese swimmers set a new FISEC Swimming Record in the mixed 4x50m Freestyle.
The record-setting relay team was made up of Gabriel Camilleri, Sienna Meli, Zea Caruana Garzia and Nathan Baldacchino.
FISEC Malta congratulated the swimmers for their achievement, saying the record was set in the mixed 4x50m Freestyle this morning.
Neptunes Swimming also shared the news, giving a special mention to Zea Caruana Garzia and Nathan Baldacchino, who both formed part of the Team Malta squad.
The mixed 4x50m Freestyle is a fast relay event where swimmers compete as a team across short, high-intensity legs. Every changeover and every split can make a difference, making this record a real team effort.
It is another encouraging result for Maltese swimming and a proud moment for the athletes, their coaches, clubs and families.
Well done to Gabriel, Sienna, Zea and Nathan on this memorable achievement for Team Malta.
