Malta’s boxing community will soon have the opportunity to train with Maltese-Australian professional boxer Joel Camilleri, who will be visiting the island from Australia.

Camilleri, also known as “Cama KO”, will lead an exclusive boxing seminar on Saturday, 25 July, at De La Salle College in Vittoriosa, Birgu.

Hosted by Combat Sports Gym Malta, the session will begin at 3:00pm and will run for approximately one hour and 30 minutes.

A Chance to Learn from an Experienced Professional

The seminar will give local athletes the opportunity to learn directly from a boxer who has built an established professional career and competed at a high level.

Camilleri will share practical boxing techniques, professional knowledge and lessons gained throughout his time in the sport.

The session is open to athletes from all boxing clubs and to participants with different levels of experience. Male and female boxers are welcome, together with junior athletes who are looking to improve their skills and gain further confidence in the ring.

A Career Marked by Several Titles

Throughout his professional career, Camilleri has achieved victories and earned championship honours across several boxing organisations.

His reported achievements include the Victorian State Championship, the Australian Super Welterweight Title, the WBC Australasian Middleweight Championship and the WBC Asian Boxing Council Super Welterweight Title.

He has also held the WBA Oceania Super Welterweight and Middleweight titles, as well as the IBF Pan Pacific Middleweight Title.

These achievements have made him a familiar and respected name among Maltese boxing followers both locally and abroad.

Bringing Malta’s Boxing Community Together

The seminar is expected to bring together athletes from different clubs and backgrounds for an afternoon focused on learning, development and a shared passion for boxing.

For junior athletes and those still developing their technique, it will be a valuable chance to receive guidance from an experienced professional. More established boxers will also have the opportunity to gain fresh insight into training and competition at an international level.

The event will take place at De La Salle College in Vittoriosa on Saturday, 25 July, at 3:00pm, and will be hosted by Combat Sports Gym Malta.

It promises to be a special occasion for Malta’s boxing community and a welcome opportunity to learn from one of the Maltese diaspora’s recognised sporting figures.
