Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially married, with the longtime couple tying the knot in an intimate civil ceremony in Portugal.
The football star and Rodríguez married in Cascais on 11 August 2026, nearly a decade after they first got together. The ceremony was described as a private occasion attended by their five children.
The couple marked the occasion with a joint Instagram post showing their wedding bands and the simple caption “C❤️G”.
Nearly A Decade Together
Ronaldo and Rodríguez began their relationship around 2017 after meeting in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working at a Gucci store. They later made their first public appearance together at the Best FIFA Football Awards that year.
Their family includes Cristiano Jr., twins Eva Maria and Mateo, and daughters Alana Martina and Bella.
From Engagement To Marriage
Rodríguez announced their engagement in August 2025, sharing a photograph of her engagement ring on Instagram. The wedding came exactly one year later.
The marriage also follows days of intense speculation surrounding Ronaldo’s wedding plans. Just three days earlier, hundreds of fans gathered outside Funchal Cathedral in Madeira after false rumours suggested Ronaldo and Rodríguez were getting married there only to discover another couple was actually tying the knot.
This time, Ronaldo and Rodríguez kept the real ceremony considerably more private, marking another major personal milestone for one of football’s most recognisable figures.
