Four people were safely rescued after a boat capsized in the vicinity of St Paul’s Islands, according to Civil Protection Malta.
Rescuers from the Civil Protection Department’s Station 5 responded to reports of the capsized vessel, prompting a coordinated operation with the Armed Forces of Malta.
All Four People Brought To Safety
The four people were located and brought aboard the Civil Protection Department’s RHIB Delta 2 before being transported safely back to shore.
One person was subsequently taken to hospital for further medical assessment.
The other three were assessed at the scene and discharged.
Civil Protection Malta also thanked the Armed Forces of Malta, Malta Police Force and Mater Dei Hospital Emergency Department for their assistance during the operation.
No further details about the circumstances leading to the boat capsizing or the condition of the person taken to hospital were confirmed in the information released.
