Six-year-old Kai Said has turned his birthday gifts into an act of generosity, donating €1,350 to The Malta Trust Foundation to support other children who need help.
Kai visited Ta’ Saura together with his family to present the donation to Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
Rather than keeping the money he received for his birthday, Kai chose to donate it, explaining that he wanted to help children like him who need support.
A generous decision at just six years old
Coleiro Preca described her meeting with the Said family as one that would remain close to her heart, highlighting the values of love and solidarity being encouraged within the family.
Kai, the family’s eldest child, is just six years old, making his decision to give away his birthday money an especially touching example of generosity at a young age.
The €1,350 donation will go to The Malta Trust Foundation, which supports children and families through its work in the community.
For Kai and his family, the gesture was about more than the amount donated. It was a simple but powerful reminder that kindness and solidarity can begin from a very young age.
