Malta’s player ratings for EA Sports FC 27 are out, with Irvin Cardona and Ilyas Chouaref sharing top spot on an overall rating of 72.
EA’s official Malta ratings page lists nine Maltese players in the game at launch, with Jake Brimmer next on 65 overall.
Cardona and Chouaref lead the Maltese list
Cardona and Chouaref both sit on 72 overall, although their individual attributes differ considerably.
Cardona has an 89 pace rating, 71 shooting, 64 passing, 71 dribbling, 30 defending and 74 physical. Chouaref, meanwhile, has 80 pace, 69 shooting, 64 passing, 75 dribbling, 38 defending and 74 physical.
Brimmer follows on 65 overall, while Jodi Jones and Dylan Scicluna are both rated 64. James Carragher comes in at 63.
Three Maltese players receive bronze ratings
Further down the list, James Sissons and Lucas Scicluna are both rated 54 overall, while Gunner Elliott is rated 52.
EA’s own Malta database confirms Lucas Scicluna as part of the ratings list, correcting his omission from the graphic circulating on social media.
Teddy Teuma is the notable absence
One of the biggest changes from EA Sports FC 26 is the absence of Teddy Teuma from Malta’s FC 27 player list.
Teuma had been Malta’s highest-rated player in FC 26 with an overall rating of 75. EA’s official FC 26 database listed him with Stade de Reims at the time.
The 32-year-old joined Sliema Wanderers in July 2026 on a two-year contract, with his move also reflected in the Malta FA’s player database.
His absence from the current FC 27 Malta list is therefore consistent with his move into Maltese domestic football, although EA does not explicitly state on its ratings page that this is the reason he is missing.

EA says its FC 27 ratings database includes more than 21,000 players, with ratings based on match data and football expertise. The Malta page currently identifies Cardona, Chouaref and Brimmer as the country’s three highest-rated players.
