Maltese singer-songwriter Lyndsay Pace is taking “Fireproof” beyond Malta once again, with an upcoming performance at the Sofia Grand Prix Festival in Bulgaria.
Pace is set to represent Malta at the international festival from 25 to 27 September 2026, where she will perform the song she previously entered in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
“I’m incredibly excited and truly honoured to be taking ‘Fireproof’ to Sofia,” Pace said. “There’s something very special about stepping onto an international stage with the Maltese flag behind you. I can’t wait to perform, enjoy the journey and share my music with everyone in Bulgaria.”
Another international moment for ‘Fireproof’
The trip to Sofia follows another achievement for the song in 2026. “Fireproof” won Best Europop Song at the InterContinental Music Awards, giving Pace international recognition for a track that has remained part of her musical journey since its Malta Eurovision Song Contest appearance.
Pace competed with “Fireproof” during the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024 selection process, reaching the semi-final stage. Her own biography also lists the song among her Malta Eurovision entries.
Next stop, Sofia
The Sofia Grand Prix Festival will give Pace another opportunity to perform for an international audience, with artists and performers from different backgrounds expected to take part.
For the Maltese singer, the Bulgaria appearance adds another destination to a year in which “Fireproof” has already picked up international recognition.
From the Malta Eurovision Song Contest to an international music award and now a stage in Sofia, “Fireproof” continues to travel well beyond its original Malta appearance.
