Sometimes Malta’s landscape does all the talking.
Local photographer Marika Caruana captured a spectacular sunset from Dingli, as golden sunlight broke through the clouds and illuminated the Mediterranean below.
The photograph shows dramatic rays of light stretching towards the sea, while the rugged landscape and greenery of Dingli Cliffs frame the scene.
A golden evening at Dingli Cliffs
Caruana shared the photograph after returning to one of Malta’s best known locations for watching the sun go down.
“Oh how I missed these sunsets!” she wrote, identifying the scene as the previous evening’s sunset at Dingli Cliffs and wishing her followers a great Sunday.
The photograph was taken from the area of Dingli Radar Station, where Malta’s elevated western coastline offers wide views across the Mediterranean.
From fiery summer skies to quieter winter evenings, Dingli remains one of those places where the same view can look completely different from one sunset to the next.
And on this particular evening, the clouds and sunlight came together at just the right moment.
