Maltese runner Luke Micallef finished 92nd at the World Athletics Half Marathon Championships in Copenhagen, completing the race in 1:05:17.
The result placed Micallef inside the top 100 at a championship featuring athletes from around the world.
Micallef represents Malta in Copenhagen
Micallef said he was pleased to come away with a top 100 finish and valued the opportunity to measure himself against international competition early in his season.
He also highlighted the significance of representing Malta on the world stage and congratulated fellow Maltese athlete Simon Spiteri, who shared the championship experience with him.
Micallef thanked coach Ivan Russu and acknowledged Athletics Malta, the Maltese Olympic Committee, BeActive, SportMalta, Eurosport Malta and Ost following the race.
