An almost full moon created a distinctive view over Mdina on 27 September, appearing between the spire and dome of the Carmelite Priory and Church of the Annunciation.
Marika Caruana captured the alignment as the moon rose behind the historic church, bringing two familiar features of the Maltese landscape together in a single frame.
