Young Maltese racer Yan Camilleri has continued an impressive run on the karting track, securing his sixth podium from eight races this season.
Camilleri enjoyed another strong weekend of racing, finishing second in qualifying and second again in the pre-final before claiming third place in the final.
Fighting at the front
Starting the final from the front row, Camilleri made a strong start and immediately took the lead.
He remained in contention at the front of the field before eventually crossing the line in third place to secure another podium.
The result means Camilleri has now reached the podium in six of his eight races this season, an encouraging level of consistency for the young Maltese driver.
Coppa Italia Finals next
Camilleri’s attention now turns to Italy, with the Coppa Italia Finals in Sarno next on his racing calendar.
Another podium gives the young racer plenty of momentum heading into his next challenge on the international karting scene.
