Malta founded Corinthia Hotels has secured two major international honours, with Corinthia London and Corinthia Rome both taking first place in their respective cities in the 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards run by the US and UK editions of Condé Nast’s travel publications.
Corinthia London was ranked the number one hotel in London by readers of the US edition, Condé Nast Traveler, receiving a score of 99.67. The result was published on 6 October as part of the magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
Meanwhile, the newly opened Corinthia Rome reached the top of the Rome rankings in the UK edition, Condé Nast Traveller, with a score of 99.83. The hotel finished ahead of JK Place Roma and Hassler Roma.
A double international result for the Malta founded hotel group
The London result comes from Condé Nast Traveler’s US readership, while the Rome ranking was decided by readers of the separate UK edition. This distinction is important because the two publications publish their own Readers’ Choice results.
For Corinthia London, the US award represents a rise to first place in the British capital. The hotel sits in Whitehall and is one of the group’s established properties.
Corinthia Rome’s result is particularly notable because the property only opened in 2026. Condé Nast Traveller’s UK results placed it first among hotels in Rome and highlighted the property as a new arrival at the top of the city’s ranking.
Hundreds of thousands of travellers voted
The US Readers’ Choice Awards received 798,867 votes for their 2026 survey. Ratings were submitted between 1 April and 30 June, with eligible hotels assessed across criteria including rooms, location, service, food, facilities, design, concierge, community investment and spa and wellness.
The UK edition’s 2026 awards were based on nearly 300,000 votes. Its Rome ranking gave Corinthia Rome a score of 99.83, making it the highest rated hotel in the city in that survey.
Michelin recognition adds to Corinthia’s 2026 results
The Readers’ Choice results follow another round of international recognition for Corinthia properties. The Michelin Guide’s 2026 hotel selection lists Corinthia London with Two Michelin Keys, a distinction Michelin describes as recognising an exceptional stay.
Corinthia Rome also entered Italy’s 2026 Michelin Key selection following its opening this year. Michelin’s official Italian list identifies the Rome property as a new addition for 2026.
Together, the London and Rome results give the Malta founded hospitality group two first place finishes in major reader voted hotel rankings in the same year, while its properties continue to feature in Michelin’s international hotel selection.
