Tony Farrugia Becomes Double Guinness World Record Holder

Maltese strength performer Tony Farrugia has achieved another major milestone, officially securing his second Guinness World Record with a feat of strength that goes far beyond conventional weightlifting.

Known in Malta for his extraordinary displays of strength, Farrugia announced the achievement in a recent social media post, proudly confirming that he is now a double Guinness World Record holder.

His first record involved performing one-handed overhead presses with a 54kg washing machine. Guinness World Records recognised 13 repetitions completed within one minute.

His second record is listed on the official Guinness World Records website under the title “Heaviest person lifted overhead with the little finger”. Farrugia lifted a person weighing 48.1 kilograms in Mosta, Malta, on 6 September 2026.

The latest record was set during a fundraising event in aid of Victim Support Malta, held at Milbrae Gardens in Mosta, adding another achievement to Farrugia’s remarkable strength career.
