Malta’s Junior Eurovision representative, 11-year-old Beppe Caruana, is set to perform in ninth place at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Malta on Saturday, 24 October.
Beppe will open the second half of the show with his song ‘Blue Bird’, following Armenia at the end of the first half. Italy will take to the stage immediately after Malta.
With delegations from all 16 participating countries arriving in Malta, the excitement surrounding this year’s contest is now reaching fever pitch.
Beppe officially begins his Junior Eurovision adventure as he joins the other young contestants at one of the hotels hosting this year’s delegations. The Maltese singer has been preparing for the contest for weeks, following his victory on The Voice Kids Malta.
Speaking ahead of the contest, Beppe said he was looking forward to meeting the other young performers, making new friends and finally taking to the Junior Eurovision stage with ‘Blue Bird’. “I’m so excited that Junior Eurovision is finally here! I’ve been looking forward to this week for so long, and I can’t wait to meet all the other singers, make new friends and perform ‘Blue Bird’ on stage. I hope I make Malta proud!”
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will be held on Saturday, 24 October, at 9pm and will be broadcast live on TVM.
