Maltese photographer and filmmaker Dan J. Mallia has officially won the 007 Game Photo Mode Contest, earning the opportunity to appear in the upcoming James Bond video game 007 First Light.
The competition, organised by IO Interactive, the studio behind the James Bond game, challenged finalists to complete eight photography-themed challenges within the game, putting their creativity and virtual photography skills to the test.
Mallia was initially selected as one of just eight finalists from entries submitted to the competition. Following the series of challenges, he has now been announced as the overall winner, securing the unique prize of being immortalised as a character within 007 First Light.
His photographs from the competition are also set to receive exposure through the game’s official social media channels, giving his work an international audience within the James Bond gaming community.
The achievement marks another milestone for Mallia, who is no stranger to working in the entertainment industry. Alongside his photography, he is also a filmmaker and director, having directed the Maltese feature film Pains Embrace, which stars Love Island’s Pierre Luc Pace.
Mallia has also worked as a crew member on Enola Holmes 3, further adding to his experience within the international film industry.
Congratulations Dan J. Mallia!
