AFM and FSWS recognise young people at certificate presentation ceremony

The Armed Forces of Malta (AFM), in collaboration with the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS), has held a certificate presentation ceremony recognising young people who successfully completed a tailor-made programme designed to develop valuable life skills and provide an insight into military service.

The ceremony was held at the Maritime Squadron at Hay Wharf and was attended by the Minister for Home Affairs and Security, Glenn Bedingfield; the Minister for Social Policy and the Family, Michael Falzon; Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta, Brigadier Clinton J. O’Neill; and FSWS Chief Executive Officer Alfred Grixti.

Since 2023, the AFM and FSWS have worked together on youth-focused initiatives aimed at providing young people with the opportunity to experience aspects of military life through practical activities and familiarisation visits to various AFM units.
