A stunning kingfisher has been spotted at Xemxija, delighting birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts with its striking colours and distinctive appearance.
The sighting was shared by local photography page Ewi Photography, which posted the beautiful image on Wednesday, 5th November, after the bird was spotted in the area the previous day, 4th November.
Known for their vivid blue and orange plumage, kingfishers are among the most recognisable birds found in Malta. Their speed and elusive nature can make sightings particularly special for those who appreciate the island’s wildlife.
