Sirens ASC Women have brought an outstanding 2025/26 season to a close by lifting the BOV Summer League trophy, completing a campaign filled with domestic silverware and a historic achievement in Europe.
The St Paul’s Bay side finished the season with six trophies: the Enemed Cup, Super Cup, Nordic League Final 8 Trophy, BOV Winter League, SportMalta Cup and BOV Summer League.
A season packed with silverware
The scale of Sirens’ campaign stretched across different competitions and different stages of the season.
Alongside their domestic success, the team also won the Nordic League Final 8 Trophy, completing a perfect run through the tournament in Malta.
Their SportMalta Cup success followed in June, adding another trophy to an already impressive collection.
History made in Europe
Sirens also achieved a significant milestone on the European stage, securing fifth place in the 2025/26 European Aquatics Women’s Challenger Cup.
The result was the best placing achieved by a Maltese women’s team in a continental water polo competition. Sirens sealed fifth place after winning all three of their positional play-off matches, finishing their European campaign with a 16-4 victory over fellow Maltese side San Ġiljan.
The achievement adds to a sustained period of success for Sirens ASC Women. The club says that since 2021, the team has won six Summer League championships, five Winter League championships, five Super Cups, two Knock-Out competitions, the Enemed Cup, Centenary Cup, Christmas Cup, SportMalta Cup and Nordic Trophy.
With another BOV Summer League title now secured, Sirens close 2025/26 having combined domestic dominance with their strongest European finish to date.
