Malta Set for Hot and Sunny Start to the Week Before Clouds Move In

Malta is heading into another hot September week, with sunshine dominating the first few days before temperatures ease slightly and cloudier conditions move in towards the weekend.

Monday, 7 September is forecast to be sunny, with a high of 32°C and a low of 25°C. Despite the official maximum, conditions could feel closer to 36°C.

Temperatures could feel like 37°C

The heat is expected to become more noticeable on Tuesday and Wednesday, with both days forecast to be hot and sunny.

Temperatures are expected to reach 33°C on both days, while the feels-like temperature could climb to 37°C. Tuesday’s low is forecast at 24°C, followed by 25°C on Wednesday.

The UV index is forecast to remain at 8 throughout the period shown, meaning the September sunshine will still be strong.

Clouds arrive later in the week

A change is expected from Thursday, although temperatures will remain warm. Partly cloudy conditions are forecast with a high of 32°C, a low of 26°C and a feels-like temperature of 36°C.

Friday is expected to turn cloudy and cooler, with temperatures reaching 31°C and falling to 24°C overnight. The feels-like temperature is forecast at 32°C.

Partly cloudy skies are expected to return on Saturday, with a high of 31°C and a low of 24°C.

Winds are also forecast to strengthen towards the end of the week, particularly on Saturday.

Overall, the week looks set to begin with plenty of sunshine and considerable heat before giving way to more cloud cover and slightly lower daytime temperatures towards the weekend.
