Malta return to UEFA Nations League action tonight as the national team welcomes Andorra to the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali.
Kick-off is set for 18:00, with Malta looking to build on an unbeaten start to their League D Group 1 campaign.
Malta have four points from two matches
Emilio De Leo’s side opened the campaign with a 2-1 victory away to Andorra on 24 September before returning to Ta’ Qali for Thursday’s match against Gibraltar.
Malta had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Gibraltar despite creating several opportunities. Joseph Mbong put Malta ahead in the 53rd minute before Gibraltar’s Scott Scanlon equalised eight minutes later. Malta then struck the woodwork in stoppage time as they pushed for a winner.
Those results leave Malta with four points from their opening two Nations League matches. Andorra, meanwhile, have one point after losing 2-1 to Malta and drawing 0-0 away to Gibraltar.
Another chance for Malta at Ta’ Qali
Tonight’s encounter will be Malta’s third Nations League fixture and the second meeting between the two countries in the space of just ten days.
Malta have never lost to Andorra in their previous meetings, with UEFA’s head-to-head record showing three Maltese victories and four draws.
After tonight, Malta will have one remaining match in the group, away to Gibraltar on 16 November.
Tickets still available
The Malta FA lists tickets for tonight’s match at €20 for adults in the West Stand, with seniors and concessions at €12. Millennium Stand tickets are €12 for adults and €8 for seniors and concessions.
Kick-off between Malta and Andorra is at 18:00 at the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali.
