Maltese-Italian Driver Nicolò Cacciatore Claims DD2 Podium After Comeback in Al Ain, UAE

Maltese-Italian driver Nicolò Cacciatore secured a hard-earned DD2 podium at the Rotax MAX Challenge UAE double-header at Al Ain International Raceway on 17–18 October.

Competing in his OTK Kart #424, supported by Mumbai Falcons Racing UAE and sponsored by VisitMalta, Cacciatore demonstrated strong pace and determination throughout Saturday’s racing.

After qualifying third in DD2 and finishing second in the Heat, an incident in the Pre-Final prevented him from completing the race, leaving him to start the Final from 11th place.

Cacciatore responded with an impressive comeback, working his way through the field to finish third in DD2 and fifth overall, securing a well-deserved podium finish.

Sunday proved more challenging, with Cacciatore finishing sixth in the DD2 Final after placing seventh in qualifying, ninth in the Heat and seventh in the Pre-Final.

For Nicolò, the objective remains unchanged: continue improving, fight for podiums and challenge the strongest competitors in the DD2 category.
