Maltese international Haley Bugeja enjoyed another memorable afternoon in Italy yesterday, scoring twice as Inter Women cruised to a 3-0 victory over city rivals AC Milan in the Serie A Women’s Milan derby.
Bugeja opened her account from the penalty spot in the 57th minute before Barbara Glionna doubled Inter’s advantage ten minutes later. The Maltese forward then converted another penalty in the 83rd minute to complete the emphatic victory.
The brace marks Bugeja’s second consecutive Serie A double, following her impressive two-goal display against Lazio last weekend.
